ZCP 7.1.12 Final

April 7, 2015 by Suyi

Hi Community,

Today we are happy to release 7.1.12 final. This latest minor ZCP update contains two major improvements and several other bug fixes.

We have received some reports from our partners and customers which were related to the LDAP plugin. This segmentation fault was caused during the initialization phase and has been addressed in the first beta already.

Second improvement which we introduced with the second beta is adding support for configurable SSL ciphers. This allows administrators to configure ZCP components to fully leverage enterprise security configurations with the new SSL settings. With this change administrators need to adjust their SSL settings. Below we provide an example of these settings which administrators can use. Please keep in mind that these ciphers are depending on the version of SSL library that has been installed on the system. The settings provided below should work on all systems that we support.

server.cfg:

# SSL protocols to use, set to '!SSLv2' for 'server_ssl_enable_v2 = no'
server_ssl_protocols = !SSLv2
# SSL ciphers to use, set to 'ALL' for backward compatibility
server_ssl_ciphers = ALL:!LOW:!SSLv2:!EXP:!aNULL
# Prefer the server's order of SSL ciphers over client's
server_ssl_prefer_server_ciphers = no

Important: Don't forget the patched Outlook clients!
We have already announce the new zarafa-client and we would like to mention it again. The new zarafa-client should restore the collaboration feature with the latest Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013.
