Patched Zarafa clients for latest OL10/13 updates (OEM and C2R)

Hi everyone,

Over the last weeks, we have been dedicated to delivering updated clients for Microsoft Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013. Mainly because our automated Outlook patch mechanism was not successful in patching the client directly. We’ll elaborate more on that later in this post.
Once we received a notification about broken clients, we’ve started our patching manually. First it seemed that we managed to restore the compatibility within a few moments. However, as you may have read, we came across an unpleasant surprise while QA’ing our patches. These unpleasant surprises were crashes or unresponsive OL clients on one of our test systems with OL13.

More background on this problem
A few days later, we came across an article which confirmed our suspicion: the problem is to be found at Microsoft’s side. Bluntly put, they’ve released a faulty patch. They currently require more assistance in debugging this issue. This also means for us that when Microsoft releases a fix, we most likely will have this patch problem again.
 On certain systems Outlook 2013 will hang or become unresponsive when connecting to a ZCP-server, while other identical systems (same hash value) are not showing these issues. This makes it extremely difficult for us to debug as we have no insight in their source code ;).
Why are you releasing it now?

The last two days we have been actively approaching our community to help us identify the problem and to confirm our fix. Until now, the signals of customers are positive: none of them seems to experience unresponsive clients or broken compatibility.
With these results in mind, we have to conclude that the crash is not related to our code and/or patch. We believe that customers need a fix for their OL2010 & OL2013 as soon as possible. That’s why we now publish these clients publicly.
Who is affected? 

Please study carefully if any action from your side is required.
Users who are (or were) running the following Outlook versions may experience issues when using shared calendars:
OEM: Outlook 2013 – 15.0.4675.1003
Click-2-run: Outlook 2013 – 15.0.4693.1000
OEM: Outlook 2010 – 14.0.7143.5000

The update should restore the advance collaboration features in the above Outlook versions. The updated clients are now downloadable at our server.

We are sorry that we needed this amount of time for a release, but we wanted to be sure that this crash was not related to our code.
